We got our first FIFA booking!
(and it's just as we predicted …)
@Jacomina, Miami, June 7, 2026
Yay! 🎆 We got our first FIFA booking. It’s a group of 5 Colombians for 7 days, during the Colombia 🇨🇴 - Portugal 🇵🇹match (as well as the Scotland 🏴 - Brazil 🇧🇷 game). While we are a bit more expensive than last year, we are not asking the astronomical price that many predicted the market would carry.
They booked our smallest place (sleeps up to 6) with a 15-day booking window. It has two bedrooms (with king-size beds) and a king-size sofa bed in the living room. It’s understandable that fans would want to book the cheapest place for the best bang for their buck; international airfares and FIFA World Cup ticket prices are astronomical this time around.
Many asked us how we price for FIFA: we use Pricelabs and other data. Airbnb’s advice is very similar to Pricelabs and other resources at the moment.
Our FIFA booking by the numbers:
- The average nightly rate for this stay is 32% higher than what we charged last year's guests.
- The cottage got booked at 50% above the average booked market rate; that’s what other listings have been booked at this year.
- Game nights are priced in the mid-80th percentile of what other hosts ask, and non-game nights are priced at the 60th percentile of the local market.

So you see, we are not the cheapest out there.
⭐️ We did mention the distance to the stadium and “FIFA” in our title. ⭐️
How are you doing with FIFA bookings? Don’t be nervous if you’re not booked yet; our booking window in Miami is very short at the moment. (Booking window = The date from when the guest books to the date of their check-in.) While it changes all the time in Miami, our average booking window is currently 8-14 days.
Please share your thoughts, ideas, etc, we would love to hear from you! 💜
