Optimizing your online home
Guests will not book your property if they can't find it. Sounds simple enough, but there's a lot more to it. From listing titles and descriptions, to photos and amenities, your minimum length-of-stay rules and your cancellation policy, your occupancy, max guest count, pricing, etc., all play a role in whether your listing shows up.
02
Keeping your property safe
Every business comes with risks, and although you can never eliminate every one of them, you can control them through damage protection coverage, property insurance, guest verification, fire & drowning prevention, noise and occupancy monitoring, a well-written set of house rules, and a short-term rental agreement.
03
Running your property
From cleaning (arguably the most important part of a first impression) to supplies, great sheets, and comfy towels, running the operation side of a property is not the most glamorous, but it's where the guests feel your hospitality, without words.
04
Getting that 5-star review
5-star reviews don't start when the guest checks out. They begin from the first click on your listing. A VRBO manager once told us that she feels loved while reading our listing description. As long as you focus on your guests and create moments that let them encounter your hospitality, you will receive high praise in their reviews.
05
Earning repeat bookings
The OTA may have brought you the guest, but it's your hospitality and operations that made their day, oops, I mean stay. Now the ball is in your court. How do you welcome the same guest again? They swooned about their stay in their review, but will they remember your home when they're looking to book a place in your town again? Probably not - unless you're proactive.

Improving through information
We constantly strive to get better. And information is the key to raising the bar. Whether that's combing through data from our tech stack, listening to what guests bring up in our interactions, or staying on top of what's happening in your town, how you act based on that data is the key to boosting your listing to the next level.
